Jean-Baptiste (JB) Poline, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery and the School of computer Science at McGill; the director of the ORIGAMI neuro-data-science laboratory, PI of the Neurobagel and Nipoppy projects, chair of the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (ex-officio), PI and co-Chair of the NeuroHub at the Neuro. Among the early pioneers of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), today, Prof. Jean-Baptiste Poline is a leading researcher in the fields of neuroimaging, open and reproducible imaging genetics research, and neuroinformatics technologies. He founded or co-founded 2 publishing plateforms to help communicate research objects and foster reproducible research.

NeuroBagel and NiPoppy for a neuro-federation
We present an ecosystem consisting of NeuroBagel, a distributed and scalable approach based on semantic web technologies for harmonizing and sharing phenotypic and neuroimaging variables with a DataLad backend, and NiPoppy, a specification for MRI processings to integrate derived data and curation information.
